Marcos Lopez, is bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish. He is native to El Paso, Texas, where he completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at University of Texas El Paso. Following his DPT, he graduated from the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He now works at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists where he serves a wide demographic range treating all types of painful conditions.
Growing up he was very involved in sports, primarily football and track. His senior year he was a TAPPS state champion in the 800-meter run and was able to continue his track career into his freshman year of college at Texas State University. He first discovered CrossFit back in 2012 during his last year of physical therapy school. However, when he moved to Dallas in 2013 and San Antonio in 2018, he was unable to find a box he really connected with until he dropped into a class at Lobo in 2021.
When not at Lobo, he spends his time with his fiancée Kim and their adopted rescue dog, Riley. He enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and trail running. He is a sucker for brunch food and sweets. An ideal day not working be spent with family and/or friends, include live music outdoors, and a craft beer.
